Wearing what Matters most, Your Expression

Janet Lane's quote make a whole lot of sense to me this morning.
Out of all the things you wear, Your expression is most important.

How many times have you been at a check out where the clerk who wasn't wearing a smile. How plaseant was that experience? I guess I have been guilty of not wearing my smile. The funny thing about it is that when I am smiling I am pleasant, approachable, and in a better mood. I am more apt to make small conversation. On the contrary, when I am, I guess I would call it mopey, I feel sad, I feel pissy and moody, easily irritated. These are all very negative feelings. So her quote makes complete sense. Wear a smile, and happiness will follow.

I hope your smile brings you great opportunities today.

Make each day count!

Branding Yourself?

Hmmm??? So branding yourself by writing or talking about your passion is the next "In" thing..... What is your passion? What will you be making your life of, do you love what you do. Are you being yourself. Do you wake up each day and jump out of bed likes it's your last? If not, why not? Why do most of us allow ourselves to be the ones being had by our employers. Why do we give all the we have to them, when we need to be giving it all to ourselves?

I started reading "Crush It" by Gary Vaynerchuk. The paragraph above kind of sums up what he has told me thus far in his book. A very good read, I must add. So why aren't more people jumping on the wagon of this suggestion? Why are there so many of us out there working on our boss's dreams instead of our own. What is scarring most of us into being employed by someone else opposed to branding ourselves and making our own name.

How many of you a delighted every morning when you wake up and are ready to take on the world based on your boss's expectations? I was that person at one point I was delighted to be where I was at in my career and life, then POFFF it all went away in a flash of an eye. How many people realize that they really are replacable in their boss's eyes? You are, each and everyone of you has a direction you want to lead.... If that direction does not suit your boss, you will become worthless to him/her. Your direction must always benefit them.... But ask yourself today how does their direction help you. Pretty hard question to answer. It doesn't all it gets you is the same paycheck you have been receiving for however long you have been employed by them. But if you are the boss if it's your path your direction your call.

Why is that so frightening? Why is it that so many of us are afraid of failure of the evil eye and sympathetic looks or gestures. I have a lot of dreams, I guess this will have to be my outlet to push through and see if this works. He says writing about your passion is and will get you where you desire to be. Have a plan, think about my future, be passionate, love what you do and the passion comes back around. I can see where he is going with this. I like energetic people, I like to get opinions and give them. I like to listen to people talk about things they love and hobbies they enjoy. I don't like to read boring books, I don't like when people talk about interesting things or when they talk in a monotone voice. I like excitement. There's a lot of things in this world I am not an expert on, but one thing I am an expert on is me. I have my personality, my voice, my experiences to help me succeed same as every one else.

Recently, I was the employee who didn't follow my boss's direction. Therefore, I became replacable. Reality set in for me that I was giving my best for him it wasn't good enough. So I sat back and I thought about why I was giving him my best every day when I could give it to me. I could come home, be with my family and make something else work. I am a survivor. I can do anything I put my mind too. So My venture started near 4 months ago. So we will begin to track this success through my blog.

I will begin to brand me Today!

He says to find your passion, so I guess I have to decide what my passion is. I haven't really figured that out yet. I like to take a situation and make the best of it. I try very hard to look at negatives and find the positive. I have been an extremely fortunate person. Very few struggles, a lot of wonderful people have come and gone in my life. My goal in life is just to provide for my family, I hope that someday my words will help others. My quote I posted today was from Robert Frost~ Freedom Lies in Being Bold. I choose this one as because of my boldness I was able to get freedom and happiness back. I wasn't about to dance to a song I knew was impossible for me to succeed. Each of us knows our limits and it's only us that can have that voice. If you are in a position where others are using you are their puppet the next time you look in the mirror think about the dance you want to create. This should be analyzed into what makes you happy why should we go through as the chorus when we most definitly can be the creator of the lyrics.

Another awesome point made in Gary's book, there are different levels of success we are our limits of how successful we want to be. You have become the director in your home, why can't you be the director of your block or your kids school, or the family functions, it could be anything the possibilities are endless. You are the one responsible for the end point. ****When referring to director you lead as far as you want to lead**** It's all up to YOU!

Today is Where You Begin

Waking up each morning means that you have a choice. A choice to make it a great day or dwell on the things you wish you did differently. Today is your fresh start, it's the first day of the rest of your life. What do you want to do about it?

There's not one person on this earth that 100% proud of every decision they have ever made. Not one person on this earth can look in the mirror and have perfection, none of us were giving the gift of EVERTHING. So when you wake up in the morning just smile, and think of how today it can be better and give it your best. There's so many things in this world to appreciate and experience. If you have ever said, "Awe I wish I had that", or "That is so cool you have neat creativity", or "You are so lucky I don't have that". Just remember for every thing you wish you had someone else wishes they had something of yours.

We weren't created equal nor to be identical. There are many unique charateristics in each us. So when you think you wish you had someone elses feature, outfit, car, home, life. Just remember there are parts in their life they wish they didn't have.

So in short, you are who you are for a reason. Be proud of that and make each decision matter, remember though you may not love everything about your being some of the things you dislike somebody else loves or vice versa. If you start looking inside at all the things you have to offer and work with them may realize you can grow into the person you see in others.

Always put your best foot forward and when someone pays you a compliment say Thank you.
Now what about today, whats going to change for you?
